The Challenge

One of the largest consumer electronics retailers in Europe. They employ around 10,000 people across 4 continents and sell their products in 150 countries through 2,000 dealer depot locations.

CV Bay was chosen as a staffing supplier to a new project that required an increase of headcount of 100 engineers UK wide over a 6 month period.

We already work with this client on a contingent basis, so have an in depth understand of their business due recruiting for a number of roles successfully in the past. We have visited a number of depots visiting the managers and also spent a day out in the field with an engineer on the job.

We were chosen to deliver to this project due to our already excellent track record and our in depth understanding of their needs and culture, which meant we could respond quickly and accurately.

The Solution

CV Bay discussed at length the specifications for each sites requirement and listened carefully to the managers difficulties about the problems they had faced historically.

We were then able to devise an in-depth recruitment strategy to target only the skilled individuals that client required. With our solid background in recruiting specifically for this industry we set to work interviewing suitable candidates by means of networking and drawing upon our extensive database of candidates within this field.

The Outcome

CV Bay sourced and placed 86 motivated and experienced permanent engineers within 4 months until the project was put on hold due to a change of need by the customer. Our interview-to-placement ratio for this project were of 2:1, with only 2 candidates not starting due to internal delays.

The whole process for each candidate from the initial interview to the Engineers first day of work took an average of 6 weeks.

The Challenge

The company are the 7th busiest transport company in the UK with a throughput of 11.6m passengers in 2016.

CV Bay was chosen as the sole staffing supplier to recruit for a new 24/7 technical support operation consisting of 9 new positions.

We met the team, had a tour of the facility and created detailed job & person specification for each role and were required to conduct the first round of interviews at our office in Central Birmingham.

We then sat in on the final interview with the management team and helped in the final decision process.

The Solution

CV Bay discussed at length the operational requirements of the new team and went out to the market to search and select suitable skilled candidates.

We advertised the roles on all of the leading internet Job Boards in the UK as well as Social Media and created a targeted campaign. We also reached out to our extensive network of candidates built up over the last 10 years to ensure we targeted both the passive and active candidate audience.

After the initial CV screening process we conducted telephone interviews with over 100 candidates which led us to invite over 30 candidates in for face to face interviews. Of these 30, 9 were short listed for final interview and 3 were kept as reserves.

The Outcome

CV Bay sourced and placed all 9 roles within 1 month of submitting the tender. Our interview-to-placement ratio was 1:1, with all candidates we presented for final interview being offered the job and starting on the same induction day.

The Challenge

The company are the leading IT and Computer Gaming authority in the world with a $23 billion profit recorded in 2017. CV Bay were chosen as a supplier for contract computer gaming staff UK across the UK. Starting from zero 6 years ago with the challenge to supply staff UK wide into a very difficult and niche sector.

The Solution

CV Bay recruited an Account Manager to deliver exclusively to their business. The account manager dedicates 100% of their time servicing the account and was fully integrated into the clients business through attending site meetings at their head office and also regional office. Further training was provided on the use of the clients applicant tracking software and payroll software which has enabled CV Bay to manage the entire process including payroll. Due to the nature of the role and the candidate short market, the approach has been headhunting and networking.

The Outcome

CV Bay has grown the account from from zero workers and as an unknown in the industry to being the leading supplier to the account. Our performance is reviewed on an annual basis where the feedback due to our results are always outstanding. Our uptake rate on new roles is 100% and we are able to deliver CV’s in 48 ours as per the SLA. Our CV to interview ratio is 1:1 which shows our excellent understanding of the account.
